This screen will allow you to set defaults and other settings for the Workforce Planning module.
General Setup
To start you must select the company codes and cost centers that will be included in Workforce Planning.
Step 1: Select the company codes to include
Step 2: Select the cost centers to include
Step 3: Select the Cost Types to include and assign to a category (Employee, Equipment, Sub)
These setting will filters the jobs that appear in the planning system.
Calendar Settings
Set the calendar that you wish to use for holidays. These dates will be blocked out in the scheduling system. Only one calendar can be assigned. You can adjust the holidays by clicking the OPEN CALENDAR SETUP button. Follow the help on that screen.
Set the default work week, start and finish times for your company. Individual jobs and assignments can over-ride these settings if required.
When you drag a job onto the schedule, the system will copy data onto the assignment. Set the data that you wish to copy onto the job:
Job Number
Job Name
Phase Code
Phase Description
The checked items will be copied onto the assignment and appear as follows:
Job Number: Job Name
Phase Number: Phase Description
Job Dates: Set if you want to lock dates to the ERP system dates or allow users to edit.
Color Settings
Assignment Colors
You can set the color you would like for various conditions in the system:
No Constraints - these are assignments on jobs where you have not set any specific constraints.
Constraints - assignments for jobs that have a setting for Must Start On or Must Finish On specific dates.
Approved Time Off - this is future
Conflict - assignments that are overlapping for a resource
Title Colors
You can assign colors to various job titles. Click the UPDATE button to refresh the list. This will find all the job title being used in your ERP system. Some titles may not be of interest so set them WHITE.
Setting these colors will display a color bar next to the employee name on the resource list.
