Job Review Screen

Job Review Screen

The job review screen is designed for managing the monthly review of jobs.

Graph (future)

The graph section will let you choose from a number of variables to show the weekly trends over life of the job.  The table at the right shows the current value of these data points.  This data is retrieved in real time from the accounting system when you open the screen.

Category Grid

The categories are user defined areas of the job review meetings.  You can create categories that apply to your business by going to Setup | Job Review Setup.  You may want to include categories such as:
  1. Risk
  2. Billing
  3. Cash Flow
  4. Schedule
  5. Submittals
  6. Etc
Each category has an Agenda on the right side.  This can be set and modified in the Job Review Setup.

On the right side of the screen the project manager can click ADD STRATEGY to enter the overall strategy they intend to follow to manage this particular category.

Item Grid

The item grid is designed to make notes during the job review meeting.  It contains three types of records:
  1. Action Items
  2. Notes
  3. Milestones
To add an item to the list click ADD ITEM.  In the dialog box you can then set the type of item (action, note, milestone) and enter the details for the item.

The workflow will default to the first step in the workflow.  This may be as simple as Open, Closed.  Or you may create your own workflow by going to Setup | Job Review Setup.  For instance if you are tracking submittals, you want want to have a workflow as:
  1. Not Started
  2. Sent
  3. Approved
  4. Approved with Changes
  5. Partial Approval
  6. Rejected
Then you can enter Workflow Comments in the next field that provides some details related to the workflow.

You can set the priority of the item:  None, High, Low.  These can later be used to filter the items.

All Action Items and Milestones are viewable on the Action List Summary screen.  This will list all your action items for all your jobs in one place.  You can filter and sort your items; for instance by job, priority, workflow status, etc.

Views

You can save views of the grids.  When you save the view, it will save the configuration of BOTH the Strategy grid and the Item grid.  To learn about views click here.

Show Audit Trail

This will show a list of all the edits made to the item.  This is most useful when there is a detailed workflow.  In that case, you can see all the dates and comments related to each workflow step.  Select an item then click SHOW AUDIT TRAIL.
