Release Notes June 2021

This release include new charting capabilities.

Job Trend Chart

There is a new tab on the Job Screen...Job Trend.
This will present a chart of the job since the beginning of the job.  Selection can be made between the following two data points:
  1. Projected Hours Over (Under)
  2. Actual/Estimate
Use the drop down to toggle between the two.

Phase Code Trend Chart

You can view the trend for any phase code now by clicking on the graph icon column, located on the far right of the active columns.  You may want to reposition this column so it is easier to see.  This. chart trend is similar to the job trend.  Selection can be made between:
  1. Projected Hours Over (Under)
  2. Actual/Estimate
The trend chart will pop up so you can quickly view any number of phase code trends.

Summary Performance Trend Chart

The Summary Screen now has a performance trend chart that shows all jobs on a bubble chart.  This chart is designed to provide a high level view of all jobs and the direction they are trending.
  1. RED bubbles are projected to be over hours
  2. GREEN bubbles are projected to be under hours
  3. The SIZE of the bubble is the size of the Projected Over/Under number.  A large RED bubble is projected to be over a large number of hours.  A large GREEN bubble is projected to be under by a large number of hours.
Each job is plotted by the ACTUAL/ESTIMATE ratio.
  1. A/E=1.0 is a job performing at estimate.
  2. Jobs less than 1.0 are better than estimate.
  3. Jobs greater than 1.0 are over estimate.
Each job is also plotted by the TREND over the last 4 weeks.  The trend number represents the slope of the trend.
  1. POSITIVE trend is a job trending better.
  2. NEGATIVE trend is a job trending worse.
  3. SIZE of the trend is the rate of the trend, so a large trend represent a large movement.
The screen has full VIEW capabilities with filters.  You can save views that provide you the best information. For instance, it might be best to view "major projects less than 95% complete".  This can be done by filtering the Percent Complete column "less than 95%" and the Estimated Hours column "greater than 500 hours".  The Views drop down includes this view.
